Service Description

Using data gathered from participants and related studies, the Creative Expressions Group Train the Trainer Course is designed to provide skills and support for peer supporters who interact with participants engaging in mental health services. The Creative Expressions Group was developed with the purpose of helping justice-involved people who also have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders increase communications skills, emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and assisting participants implement budgeting tools while also understanding the effects that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) have on their understanding of delayed gratification. The course material is also very applicable to the general population to support emotional well-being and goal setting skills. At the conclusion of the training participants will have the knowledge and skills to facilitate the 5-session Creative Expressions Group with peers and participants in their respective organizations. Participants will have examples of each activity to share with their agencies and use in future trainings. Option 2: Base Rate- $750 5.5-6 hour training (including breaks and a 30 minute lunch break). Binders with art supplies and instructions provided ($25 each). See below for a description of the supply binders: Each binder includes (1) box of 10 crayons, (1) set of scissors, (1) glue stick, (2) pencils, (2) ballpoint pens, (1) box of eight coloring markers, (1) pencil bag, detailed instructions of each activity, and (2) paper boxes (for one of the creative projects). The binders, pencil bags, and paper boxes come in various colors, no requests for color combinations (you are more than welcome to trade with other participants, all kits contain the same number and types of items), see photos for example supplies.

Cancellation Policy

Canceling a reservation will be subject to a 3% processing fee. All refunds will be made to the payment type used for the reservation and will be processed within (7) days of cancellation request.
