No, it's for anyone! The material is applicable to anyone who interacts with the public, especially members of the public who may have experienced trauma. "Increasing Trauma Informed Practices in Law Enforcement" also teaches attendees how to identify and manage their own emotions and biases leading to a more compassionate and safe outcome for all.
We set out in this training to explain how law enforcement officers and other helpers can gain important and useful knowledge and practical skills. We discuss communication skills, emotional intelligence, and provide suggestions on how to better communicate with people who have experienced trauma. We also explore Adverse Childhood Experiences, moral injury, secondary trauma, neurodiversity and affirming practices, among other topics.
There are two different rates for "Increasing Trauma Informed Practices." The first $750 is for an agency to host one 4-hour training. The second $250 option is for each additional 4-hour class after the initial class is purchased. Remember- there is a 15% discount off your total cost when reserving five or more hosted training sessions.
Example: Awesome City Police Department wants to host three classes. The initial cost of $750 and the two additional classes at $250 would total $1,250.
*All classes must be completed within 45 days to qualify for the group rate.

I pull a lot of my training style from the immortal words of the warrior poet, Vanilla Ice: “All right stop/Collaborate and listen.”
I prefer more of a discussion over a lecture. With discussions there is often more participant “buy-in” to the topic and it also levels the power differential a little. Coming into a class or lesson as the “teacher” automatically brings with it an implied level of power.
Leading a discussion can level that and lessen the “us” and “them.” Here’s a video I’m going to share in the workshop that explains that idea pretty well: https://youtu.be/OvA4Zwz-v4Y?si=u0vDbRFiH8yUStDd.
The short answer is no. The Creative Expressions Group (CEG) is a 5-session program using art and creative projects to learn increase communications skills, emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and assisting participants implement budgeting tools. The CEG is not specifically "art therapy" but does implement research based practices.
